AMSOIL Fast Acting Engine Flush is made from a carefully selected blend of solvents and special cleaning agents that dissolve and disperse harmful deposits formed in the crankcase, cylinder walls, pistons and rings of an internal combustion engine. 

When used as directed, it cleans and restores operating efficiency to valves, valve lifters, rocker arms, and pistons for improved horsepower, fuel economy, and performance. Use before changing oil.

Why Clean Your Engine?
Chances are, when your engine was new it delivered the power and fuel efficiency it was designed for.  But now, as your engine accumulates miles, things are happening that are adversely affecting its performance.  Slowly but surely, your engine is gathering harmful deposits that will eventually cost you money.

Even though you may follow a routine service schedule, your driving conditions may be far from routine.  Stop and go driving, prolonged periods of idling, short trips that don't allow your engine time to warm up, towing a trailer, the ingestion of airborne dirt, fuel dilution, water condensation, and oxidized oil will eventually cause the formation of a thick, gummy deposit known as sludge.  Settling throughout the engine, sludge will clog oil passages, restricting the flow of oil to vital engine parts, especially in the upper valve train areas.

How to use
Before changing your oil, check your oil level. Make sure it is near the full line. Remove your old oil filter and replace it with a new oil filter that you normally buy. This will remove enough oil so adding the engine flush will bring the oil level back to approx the same level.

Start your engine, and let it idle for 20 to 30 minutes. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE WITH ENGINE FLUSH IN THE ENGINE. While the oil is still hot, drain it out completely.

You are now ready to install a new AMSOIL SDF Oil Filter and AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil.

Important note
On vehicles with over 100,000 miles, that have been using petroleum oil, you 'may' have dry or cracked seals and gaskets. The build up of sludge and varnish in your motor over these miles may be causing 'false sealing'.

By using the engine flush, if this is the case, which is very slight, and cleaning the sludge and varnish from your engine you will be exposing these 'false seals'. The only remedy now will be to replace the leaking seals.

Note: We have used AMSOIL engine flush in vehicles with over 160,000 miles on gasoline engines and over 280,000 miles on diesel engines with no problems. These engines were all in sound mechanical condition.
